Biography

Wendy was born in Montgomery Alabama and grew up in Aurora Illinois. During college she traveled to Mexico, Israel and Egypt. She wanted to travel more and joined the US Army. In the fifteen years Wendy served in the Military she was stationed in five different states, and Flensburg Germany as the Cold War ended. She had deployments to Honduras, Haiti, Guam, Kauai, and Egypt. Wendy was trained as a Military Police Officer and working dog handler (K9). Today she has a German Shepard dog named Harley and four cats!

In 2000 Wendy moved to Wisconsin with her newborn daughter and started Nursing School at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She graduated in 2005 and was the class speaker at the Nurse’s Graduation Pinning ceremony. After graduation she moved to Portland Oregon. From 2005-2019 she worked in OBGYN and pregnancy management as a lead RN and Head of Research. She joined the team at Raleigh Hills Assisted Living in 2019.

She enjoys spending time with her family and their pets. She loves living in the Portland area where both mountains and the beach are just a few hours away and the temperature is relatively mild.
