Lynda Brown, Executive Director
An Oregon native, Lynda was born and raised in Salem. She relocated to Portland in 2007 to advance her career in healthcare. A passion for helping others runs deep in Lynda’s family – her mother is an RN. Not long after receiving her CNA certification and working with seniors, especially Alzheimer’s residents, Lynda was recognized for a strength in business management. For the next 20 years she continued her education and climbed the ranks in Skilled Nursing.
In early 2011 a chance encounter resulted in an offer to become the Executive Director for Raleigh Hills Assisted Living. The timing was right and Lynda has not looked back. Ensuring residents have a high quality of life is Lynda’s mission. On top of managing operations for the reputable community and over-seeing a team of 70 dedicated employees, you will often find Lynda visiting with residents. Listening to fascinating life stories and interacting with the residents is Lynda’s favorite part of the job.
Boating, camping, hiking, tennis — basically anything outdoors is where you will find Lynda in her free time, making the Pacific Northwest the perfect home. You’ll also likely find her at every Oregon State Beaver’s football home game.
Sandy Morgan, Registered Nurse
Sandy was born in Omaha, Nebraska where she lived through Junior High School. Her parents are immigrants from Germany and Italy. She has four sisters and one brother. The family moved to San Diego, California where Sandy met her husband, and had two children. She then moved to Oregon and attended Linn Benton where she graduated from nursing school.
Sandy enjoys cycling, running, hiking, college football (she lived by the Corvallis campus at naturally became a Beaver). She is also a big Portland Timbers fan and attends games often. Her now grown children live out-of-state which gives Sandy a great reason to travel as often as she can to see them. Sandy has been working within Assisted Living environments for the past 13 years and enjoys it immensely.
Anca Daniels, ECU Administrator
Anca was born and raised in Romania before fleeing the country during the revolution.
Once in the United States, Anca began working for Blue Cross/Blue Shield and then got her Medical Assistant certificate. She worked in a local Alzheimer’s facility for 3 years. It was there that she fell in love with working with seniors. Listening to their stories and helping to make a difference in their lives is where Anca finds fulfillment.
She came to Raleigh Hills as a Med Assistant for 3 years before being promoted to ECU Administrator.
In 2007, Anca’s best friend and soulmate, proposed and they were married. Anca enjoys traveling dreams of returning to Paris and ultimately retiring to Australia. She also spends time reading, watching movies and trying new things. One of her favorite pleasures is hosting family gatherings.
Max Tieger, Dietary Manager
Max was born in Chicago and moved to Shreveport, Louisiana when he was 13. That was where his appreciation for Jazz, Blues, and food developed. He credits his dad for sparking his interest in cooking.
After graduating from high school, Max started working in the food industry. He did everything from food prep and bar back to waiting tables and bartending. After he married, he took a job at a Cajun restaurant and absorbed everything the chefs were crafting. After their son was born, Max’s wife got a job in Portland and they relocated here. He met Don Younger, a local beer industry icon, and Max was introduced to the world of brewing. He worked his way from assistant brewer to head brewer and worked for several breweries in the area.
When his father moved into an assisted living facility, he received wonderful care until his passing. Max determined the best way to honor his father would be to cook for a local assisted living. He has now been here for nearly ten years excelling at pleasing the palates of the entire community. Max also likes to work out, play music, and continues to brew beer.
Michelle Satter, Marketing Director
Michelle was born in Watsonville, California and spent time in Idaho before moving to Oregon during her teens. She graduated from Thurston High School and earned a Marketing Degree from Southern Oregon University. After college, she settled in the Beavercreek area and worked in sales and customer service. She found her true calling when a friend suggested she apply for the Marketing position at Raleigh Hills Assisted Living. She enjoys helping families navigate the transition to senior living.
Michelle is married to her college sweetheart and has two children in college. In her spare time she enjoys camping, gardening and watching sports, especially the Ducks. She is also very involved in the planning of the Oregon Cancer Ski Out, a two day fundraising event held every March.
Andie Shepard, Activities Director
Andie grew up in Kent, Washington and received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Family Studies from Central Washington University. She moved to Oregon to be closer to the schools that offer Graduate Programs for becoming a Marriage Therapist.
She has worked in group homes giving support to those with mental and physical disabilities, even helping an individual prepare and compete in swimming at the Special Olympics. One of the things she enjoys about working at Raleigh Hills is getting to know residents on a personal level and doing fun things with them.
Andie loves to play indoor soccer, listening to music, and drawing. Her two year old German Shepherd mix, Maiya, is super playful and is her perfect companion.
Kevin Miller, Maintenance Director
Kevin was raised in Lake Oswego, Oregon and graduated from Lake Oswego High School. He went to work for Image Control systems and quickly became the warehouse manager. With his mechanical aptitude he was soon repairing and installing the high tech photographic cameras and processors. He traveled all over the U.S. in that capacity for many years until he tired of being on the go. He went to work for WyEast to work on their equipment in-house and worked there for 14 years before going on to Northwest College as their maintenance director.
He met his wife Carla when he responded to an ad in the paper for a travel trailer for sale. They started dating and he got both the girl and the trailer! They have two children and two grandchildren. Kevin enjoys taking care of his dog, Sheldon, an Australian Terrier, and running a local Remote Control Airplane Club. He also spends time on his dirt bikes, hiking, camping, and gardening, but smoking meats is a true passion of his: “Barbeque is his middle name”.
